FAQ

MCP (Model Context Protocol) connects AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini to Qminder, enabling them to securely read and act on your behalf in the platform.

Yes. MCP uses OAuth authentication and TLS encryption for all data transfers. It can read and create, but not modify or delete existing records. This keeps your data safe and controlled.

Enable the Qminder MCP connector through your preferred AI assistant. Once authorized, you can start asking your AI to perform Qminder actions, such as fetching reports or scheduling appointments.

The MCP server is what connects your AI assistant to Qminder. It safely manages requests between your AI and your Qminder account, allowing your assistant to read data, create entries, and perform approved actions on your behalf.

Qminder MCP is available to any user with:

  • An active Qminder account and the right permissions

  • A supported AI assistant (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini)

  • OAuth authorization for Qminder MCP when prompted by the AI

Currently, MCP is included in all Qminder plans during the BETA period. Administrators can enable access by installing the Qminder MCP app in their workspace.

Yes. During the BETA phase, MCP is available on all Qminder plans at no additional cost.

Each user authorizes MCP individually. MCP only accesses the same data you already have access to in Qminder, according to your role, and nothing more.

Yes. MCP follows strict security standards, using OAuth authentication and TLS encryption for every data exchange. It can read and create records.

Because MCP enables AI to act for you, we recommend:

  • Granting only the permissions your assistant needs

  • Reviewing activity periodically

  • Staying informed about which actions are being performed

Only you and your AI assistant have access to the data exchanged through MCP. Qminder does not review or access the content of your conversations.
